UFC Freedom 250 Reportedly Lost $30 Million Despite 34 Million Global Viewers
The “UFC Freedom 250” event that was held at the White House South Lawn on June 14 is described as a “roaring success,” it actually caused a $30 million loss to the TKO Group Holdings. The celebration, which was held to commemorate the U.S. Semiquincentennial and President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday, came with a price tag of $60 million but had no live ticket sales among the 4,300 invited guests to the event. However, the management at TKO justified the cost and cited 34 million viewers worldwide, $1 billion in earned media value, and 25 new marketing partnerships. Due to the enormous cost incurred, Dana White, CEO of UFC, assured that the organization will never hold another event at the White House.
